The best way to learn about life is by listening to the advice of friends and family. |
I think of listening to others advice as a useful way to learn something. However, it can't be the best way to get to know about the things, especially about life. The reason behind this is that the information we get from others can be inadequate for us, since each of us has our own personal circumstance, and also, there are a variety of other effective ways to learn about life. When I was in grade 9, I decided to go to China to learn Chinese and (넓은 시야를 갖도록). It wasn't a hundred percent sure about it but I just set my mind and packed my bags, since one of my friends who lived there for several years had told me that the environment and food in China was great. I just listened to her and considered it in that way. However, as soon as I got there for the first time, I went into panic. I felt like I was totally cheated by my friend. The food my friend recommended me to eat was terrible and the Chinese people who described as adorable neighborhood by my friend were so scary in my eyes. Now I got used to it ,as time goes by, but at that time it was like an disaster for me. My experience indicates that everyone has a different opinion about something, and just listening to others' advice can be risky. In addition, there are some other effective ways to learn about life, such as having our own experience. Many of us are full of agony when we face new experience. However, it's one of the greatest way to get to know about ourselves. For instance, when we are young, we don't listen to our parents that much. It means that our parents' words are not that influential to us when we are young. We realize and correct our shortages, however, when we happened to experience it by in practice. It means that learning through our own experience can be much more effectual than getting advice from parents or friends. To sum up, the advice or words we get from our parents or friends are of importance but it's relative. The better way to learn about our life is learning through our own experience. |
