This quotation describes an undeniable fact : success is usually the result of long, hard effort to reach a specific goal. Unexpected, favorable events - what most people call "luck" - may help in reaching the goal, but usually are not enough by themselves to ensure success. I strongly believe success is due only to hard work.
Firstly, for example, celebrities in all ages have emphasized the importance of hard work to success. Inventor Thomas Edison said that success was mostly "perspiration" that is, hard and steady effort. We know well he invented an electric bulb through a crowd of experiments. Actor Charlie Chaplin had many obscure roles on stage before he became an international film star. None of theses people attained success overnight, effortlessly. Their success was the outcome of lengthy, hard word.
Secondly, repeated failures must occur sometimes before one succeeds, or else one must work much longer than seems necessary. A television show dealing with success presents that most successful people said "I have had many failures in arriving at where I am now". Although they was faced with many risks he never feared to make the trial, with which, they have overcame the miscarriage and anxiety. Because of success through many failures, they could try to working for the second achievement in their filed.
To sum up, as mentioned above, determined efforts is the price of success. Numerous attempts and repeated failures are ultimately the best effort for success ; "luck" is hardly ever the single decisive factor. | |
