주제는 Many people have a close relationship with their pets. These people treat their bidsm cats, or other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good?

There are people who try to deal with their loneliness by adopting a pet. Although it does help with their momentary agonies, it's a controversial issue when viewed in a long term perspective.
First of all, what people who look for special relationships in pets need is a friend. They need someone who can have actual communication and provide mutual services with them. Instead, these people please themselves with pets who "appear" to listen to them unconditionally. Although some may argue that pets are good listeners since they cannot ignore or interrupt you in any way, this also means that they are not doing actual "listening." There is a limit to where pets can be helpful. Their absolute loyalty to thier feeders is nothing but wagging. A human friend, however, can give advices or even goes further to solve your problem. Therefore it's strongly agreeable to start looking for a real friend before they feel tired and wearisome by one-way relationship with their care-needing creatures.
Another reason having a pet is discouraged is that it can actually interfere with your real life. An extreme example is a woman I saw in a television show last week. She was practically addicted to her nine cats she had been with for nine years. She couldn't leave them even after she lost her job and ended up in huge debts she used for their food. The show ended with her starting a mental therapy that forced her into leaving the pets as the first treatment. Even though she's not a typical example, there are people who find it hard to make friends or begin a new career because of their pets. They need time to feed, wash, and play with their pets. They need to realize that there is a definite limit to the comfort they get form the pets. They need to find another permanent way of spending time or relieving stress other than with their pets.
There are certain pleasures people can have from pets that are not found in interactions with humans. However, one should not go as far as to be controlled by their pets. Pets should be a complimentary option in one's life rather than playing a main role. Therefore I believe that relationships with pets should not be considered more special than that with objects in daily lives.
