As it becomes hard to find jobs, many school force their students to study more. This could be one solution for job deficiency but, in my opinion, it's not fundamental solution for that problem. I think teachers' ability to make a good relationship between students and teacher is much more important than to give a knowledge. Because of following two reasons.
First of all, one of the most important roles of teachers is giving them social skill. To improve their social skill, teachers should make good relationship with their students. Not only this could make their students sociable person, but also give a more chance to get a their future job markets. For example, according to one research, most companies are likely to hire people who have a good skill to make good relationship with their co-workers. Although someone have a good ability in their field, with out social ability, they couldn't benefit to corporations. This is because their good social networks could improve productivity
On top of that, teachers' ability to relate well with students could increase the effectiveness of teaching. By build a friendly atmosphere with students, teacher could give knowledge to students more effectively. In these days, for instance, many alternative schools are founded. This is because people begin to understand that giving a knowledge is not only purpose of school. In these schools, to make a good relationship between students, teachers' not only teach them, but also do many extracurricular activities such as debating class, outdoor activities, plays and lab classes. In fact, these schools generate better result compared normal schools.
Accordingly, I strongly insist that teachers' ability to build good relationship with students is more important than give knowledge because by making relationship well, teacher could give qualities which is more important than knowledge and teach their students more effectively. |
