It is often said "there was past, then there is present". However, Some people may say that people should focus on only present because they think that bringing up old story and concern about which are unecessary to do. In my opinion, it is definitely required to think and concern about what has been occured. That way they would not make unecessary mistakes. Furthermore. they will be able to make present better by doing so.
It is evident that it is most likely to commit mistake without knowing about the past. This is because, if someone is able to anticipate what would be going to happend, they probably will prepare for it. Therefore, they would not make trivial mistakes. To give you an idea, when I study math, I always check problems which I have got wrong. Because, when I check those problems, I automatically realize the what the problem was I had. Thus, I am able to change my thought and I would not make same mistake on next time I solve similar problems. In this sense, we are able to apply this advantage on other variety of fields including, governmental problems, personal problems. Similar to solving math problems, they will also be able to solve their problems.
In addition, we are able to make things better based upon old things. it is the way similar to fixing current problems, but it is a little bit different from it. What this is that they improve their future with the basis, sort of old stratigies. For example, my country in Korea, there are many of combined cultures. In other words, they make things better by the fusion between traditional cultures with modern cultures. This way, they are able to extract benefitable features from traditional cultures and combined it with modern cultures. To give an example of it, there are modernized Korean traditional clothing, food and every variety of fields. For these reasons, knowing and utilizing old thing contributed to making better present.
To sum up, there are many of benefits from knowing past things. They are able to prevent mistake, and even make better futures. |
