▶ Your Answer :It is debatable whether governments should spend more money expanding access to the internet than improving public transportation. This is an intriguing question because opinion concerning this issue can be different with the individual perspectives. In my opinion, however, I support governments should invest more money expanding access to the internet for the following reasons. First of all, invest more money on the internet is better choice because invest on the internet broadens people’s perspectives. To be specific, invest on the internet creates opportunity to experience the variety of second-hand experience, which as a result allows people to better understand other cultures, lifestyles, and perspectives. Improving public transportation cannot give that much experience because of temporal and spatial limitations. It is undeniable in modern society that having a lot of experience is important source for people’s personal developments. To illustrate, Steve Jobs, who is the founder of Apple, has made great accomplishments in his lifetime. I read online that he was very successful because he was open-minded and culturally sensitive. He did this by getting a lot of indirect experience from the internet so that he could think problems on the diverse dimensions. In addition, internet is much more efficient in our daily lives. To be specific, using the internet, which as a result allows people to expend less energy, save extra time, and lead a productive life. As modern society is becoming increasingly fast-paced, today’s world requires people with the quality of saving time. People can do this better by utilizing many technological tools, such as computer which accesable to internet. For example, when I was in high school, I had to do my assignment about searching the government institution. But It was too far from my house so I could not go there. So I searched information on the internet instead of going to government institution directly, and I could finish my homework efficiently. In conclusion, I firmly believe that governments should spend more money expanding access to the internet than improving public transportation. It is my belief that my opinion regarding this topic has effectively and precisely delivered with the reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that it may have huge impact on our time saving and broad perspectives. |
