Thesedays, a growing number of people have one or more animals at home and it’s not unusual to hear that havihg a pet animal gives coultless benefits to people, especially to children. Although there are some drawbacks with keeping a pet animal, I strongly agree with this opinion.
First of all, to have pet animals offers children great opportunity to learn about the value of life. It is mainly because they can learn and experience to take responsibility for a life. In detail, children should feed their pet animals regularly, as well as clean them almost on a daily basis. Sometimes, when pet animals are sick, children deeply worry about them and run to a vet with the animals. Therefore, children can realize how precious a life is and how important to be responsible for caring for the life.
In addition, to have animal friends play a significant role in strenghen children’s mental health. The reason is that children can lessen their stress and depression while playing with their pets. In fact, pet animals are usually regarded as a powerful cure for mental problems regardless of their type or degree. According to an article released by KBC Daily, in the city of Seoul, there are more than 150 medical center for children that are adapting pet animals for mental disease treatments.
Last and not least, a chilhood with pet animals is full of fun and excitement. Children will have great time with their pet animals taking for a walk, running, and even swimming in a pool! Memories of happy childhood will contribuite to build their character and awareness of ethics.
To sum up, to live with a pet animal for children have numerous merits for the mentality and mindset of children by letting them know how a life is precious and strenthen their minds. This is why I am enthusiatically supporting the idea that children can benefit from having a pet animal.
