▶ Your Answer :
An interest about green technology has been
grown to solve environmental problems by replacing conventional technology
which has caused pollution. Especially, many people expect that electric cars
will replace gas fuel automobiles soon. However, I believe that the conventional
cars won't be replaced by electric cars within a couple of decades for the
following reasons: first, there are several technological problems which cannot
be solved soon, and second, people will not buy new car although electric cars
become available.
First of all, there are several
technological problems in developing electric cars, and I think these problems
will not be resolved soon. For example, the efficacy of electric cars is too
poor to replace conventional cars. On the other hand, diesel or gasoline fuel
cars are much efficient, and it has been improved continuously. The gap between
these technologies cannot be narrowed soon. Furthermore, lots of gas stations
where people can charge their electric cars is needed. However, it takes very
long time to build these facilities. In this context, I believe the electric
cars cannot replace conventional automobiles within a couple of years. On top of that, people will not readily buy
electric cars. It is because they need a lot of money to replace their cars. In
my case, I bought new car a few years ago, and I think I will use the car for
more than ten years. Therefore, I will not sell mine and buy new electric car
although it will be so efficient and cool. Likewise, there are many people who
will continue to use their own cars. It means that the time longer than a
decade is needed for electric cars to replace conventional ones even after technological
problems I mentioned above are solved. Therefore, electric cars cannot be
dominant in automobiles industry soon.
In brief, not only do several technological
problems exist today, but also people will not buy new electric cars readily.
Therefore, I strongly believe electric cars will not replace conventional
automobiles soon. |
