▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that it is better to
learn about foreign countries by expierincing directly through going there,
because they might think that it is a real study to meet the locals and get a
chance to participate in their culutre such as eating their foods or joining
their festivals. However in my opinion, I think reading newspapers and
magazines about the other countires are more effective way to learn. The first
reason is that I can save a lot of time, and the second reason is that I can
also save money.
First
of all, I can save abundant of time. Nowadays, the time is gold so it is
obvious that the ability to manage our own time is essential. There is no time
to visit every million countries in the whole globe since our time is not
infinite. We don't have any moment to feel and experience cultures by visiting
one country at a time. Let's suppose that you are traveling USA. The very first
step for the start of your journey is to fly away to the America. It takes
almost 13 hours to go there and it’s a big waste of time. Instead, you can make
a better alternative of using that time by subscribing the magazines or
newspapers that illustrates the culture and worthy places of America
elaborately, or even gain some information about other countries, not just one
country. Even if you have spare time after you are done with these whole
process, you can utilize that time doing other things to level up yourself. For
these reasons, learning from the second-hand materials is much more effective
way in the long run.
Second,
I can save lots of money. As materialism society is pervasive these days, there
are various ways to make money, and we can start it from saving the money. To
take a look at the example of my cousin who loves to travel, she went to the
Europe for one month when she was in college and it costs near $4500 for her to
travel. But in my case, I decided to learn the Europe by the using media such
as reading the famous foreign magazines or watching YouTube channel. I firmly
insists that the information that I attained from them is astoundingly valuable
and informative that it is comparable of what my cousin had experienced and
felt in Europe spending 4500 dollars. I sometimes even feel I know more about
the Europe's cultural conventions than her. As a result, I was able to earn
$4500 by taking advantages of the indirect materials.
In
conclusion, I asserts that learning about foreign countries from newspapers and
magazines is a better way than visiting the places for real because I can save
a lot of time and money.
