A thought-provoking current issue concerns with whether people should grow up in the countryside or in urban areas. Some people think it is better for children to be raised in cities. However, in my opinion, it is more beneficial for them to stay in rural area when growing up for the following subsequent reasons. To begin with, living in countryside is good for their health. Most of the countryside has better air and better water. The good air and good water enables kids to stay healthy. However, in the cities the air is most likely polluted as well as the water. According to the study conducted by American Health Care (AHC), the study was conducted with two groups of people. The first group was people who grew up in urban area and the second group was people who was raised in rural areas. The AHC researchers tested their blood cells and found out that more than 60 percent people in the first group had problems with their lungs. In the contrast, the people from second group showed that only 3 percent had these problems. This study asserts that people who grew up in countryside tend to be more healthier than those of people who were raised in the cities. On top of that, as a child it is a special experience for them to live in the countryside. Most of the remote areas are near to mountains, sea, or forests. This means that they are able to experience a lot from nature. Additionally, they will be able to interact with some wild animals or insects which later on help them with socializing with people. For example, when I was young, our family used to live near mountain which was very far from the city. When I was living there I was able to see some wild animals that can not be seen in cities. Also, since there were a lot of flowers, I used to go out with my sisters and memorize the name of the flowers. This helped me a lot when I came to city for work. When talking with my colleagues, I had more special memories and I was able to talk a lot about it. My colleagues always enjoyed listening to my story and later this helped me to meet my wife. To sum up, growing with the nature benefits people with good health and extraordinary experience. In this regard, I strongly recommend children to be raised in areas where it is far from cities. |
