Do you agree or disagree with following statement? It is unrealistic for employees to work for the same companies for their entire lives. |
"To work for the same company or not, that's the problem." Hamlet might have said like this if he were an employee. Our grandfathers and fathers considered the fidelty between employees and employers to be the most important thing. However, our generation is changing our workplaces for many reasons. There is an ongoing debate over changing companies. I think the workers can change their workplaces because they want better working conditions and can meet various people. To begin with, people can get higher salaries and clean environment by changing companies they are working for. It's an instinct for people to pursue better things for their lives. Many people have apprehensions about therir future because they can't predict whether they will be fired or not. Let's take the case of my uncle. He had worked for a small company for ten years. One day, he got an opportunity to work for a big company. The conditions that the big company suggested were promising: high salaries, and uncompromising working positions. Because his future was not stable in the small company, he changed his workplace, and he always said that it was a really good choice for him. On top of that, workers can meet a variety of people. Employees get opportunities to meet others who can change their entire lives. In my cousin's case, he worked as an expert of computer graphic. He changed his company because he wasn't satisfied with his former company. He met a lady in the new workplace. He fell in love with her because she was beautiful, smart, and even kind. They got married and are leading happy lives. To sum up, some people might hold a different position on this issue. Although I admit that fidelty or loyalty is an important thing, I think workers cna change their companies. The reasons behind this as follows: first, people tend to pursue better things for their future, second, they will be able to meet a variety of people who can change their lives. |
