Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to learn from teachers and supervisors than from friends and co-workers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. |
Those who consider being sociable and comfortable might say that learning from peers and colleagues is more appropriate than learning from teachers and bosses. However, I think it is better to learn from teachers and supervisors. There are two major reasons: to get good information and to get feedback in field.
First, when it comes to getting useful information, teachers and managers are much helpful. It might be possible to share good knowledge with friends and co-workers. However, because teachers and supervisors have been teaching and working for a long time and have more experience, we can get various and accurate information we need. When I was having trouble with my bad grades in highshcool, my homeroom teacher helped me go through this situation. She told me about students who had troubles with low grades and how they studied efficiently and entered good universities in the end. I was motivated and studied what my teachers said. I believe there is nothing better than asking for teachers and bosses when people need to get helpful information to solve a problem. Therefore, teachers and managers are better because they have more useful information and experience to afford us.
Moreover, as far as getting feedback is concerned, learning from teachers and supervisors are desirable. Although you might think that peers and co-workers can be helpful to get advice or feedback, you may not deny that teachers and bosses are more professional in their fields. They are always open for us to give a feedback or advice when we need them because they know about the solutions we can do better. For example, they can suggest us a better way to do with our tasks or how we can finish them in an efficient way. However, friends are not usually helpful when I need recommendation because they are in the same circumstance. Thus, it is better to learn from teachers and supervisors when it comes to advising and getting feedback.
In conclusion, I fimly agree with the statement that learning from teachers and bosses are appropriate. This is because not only they have more knowledge through their experiences but also they can offer good feedback and advices. |
