In this era of rapid social and technological changes, leading to greater complexity of society, public health service has become one of the most volatile issues. Some people advocate that the best possible policy of governemtns towards improving people's health care is restore the environment. While considering the factor that it would cost a great money to do so, others might not be in favor of the opinion. As for myself, I persoanlly think that the policy of restoring the environment would be the most crucial thing if their aim is to secure people's health condition.
To begin with, the damaged environment has always been the root problem that lead people to unhealthy condition. This is mainly because the vast majority of crops are greatly affected by spoiled land which are caused by toxic wastes from industry. If people consume such foods they are likely to suffer from diseases such as food poison or even cancer. Moreover, toxic fumes from automobiles or other fuel-using vehicles greatly damaged the air. Consequently, a countless number of people anually visit hospital because of their respiratory illness; there is nothig more painful than not being able to breathe properly. In this respect, the governments must set up regulations which can fix or at least mitigate the environmental problem if they wish to promote health service.
In addition, restoring the nature is the most effective policy in terms of long-term benefits to society. Governments surely can employ other alternative means to find the solution of improving health service; they can simply give better treatments to doctors so that more talented students pursue medical degree in college, or they can increase the budget for their helath service in an attempt to make it more available to public. However, such policies can only provide temporary impacts, thus failing to solve more complex problem in iteself. For exampel, if free medical service is to be the most effective policy, in countries like Denmark or Sweden where such service is absolutely free of charge, the number of patiences should have been decreased compared to its past when the serive required fees. However, ironically, the number of patiences are constantly increasing regardless of the much more access to medical service. In this respect, the restoring the nature is clearly the most valid way to ensure people's helathy lives.
In conclusion, there are reasons for and against the policy that the Damn it.. |
