Due to the development of technology, many people are able to watch TV. Although it is true that excessive TV viewing can cause negative effects such as damaging one's eye sight or preventing one to read books, I believe that TV has given people many advantages, especially enabling friends to better communicate. Friends can share a common interest that was presented on TV. Also, as TV displays a variety of content, there are more subjects to discuss.
To begin with, friends can discuss a common subject presented on tv. Friends in general have similar taste and since many of them watch TV, it would be likely for them to watch similar contents displayed on TV. That is, they would have a chance to share a common issue which would lead them into having a conversation. In my case, my friends and I like to watch soap dramas on TV. As we watch the same program, we can share our ideas about it. This leads us to have a talk and as a result, we feel more intimate to each other and tend to further communicate. I belive that TV not only fosters up communication between friends but also can bolster the relationship.
Moreover, due to a number of programs TV shows, there are more subjects to discuss with friends. The variety of content TV presents extends the length of conversations between friends and increases communication. In particular, as aforementioned, my friends and I watch dramas on TV. However, we also watch the NEWS and variety shows. After my friends and I talked about the drama, we tend to look for other subjects to discuss and the other programs broadcast through the TV can be the very next topic to talk about. Thanks to TV, numerous subects are left for friends to communicate with.
To conclude, I strongly believe that TV has fostered up communication between friends. Due to the advent of TV, friends are able to easily share common interests and their ideas. Also they can communicate more since TV has provided them with a variety of topics to talk about.
