Whether or not teachers should not reveal their social or political views to students in class is under debate. Some people say that it is a good way to teach students because teachers can teach more directly. However, in my opinion, it seems unnecessary in the class since it will interrupt the class. Additionally, students will have stereotype of political or social view.
To begin with, I agree that teachers should not show their social or political perspective to students in class in order to more concentrate on study. In college and high school and even middle school, students usually have a lot of things to study such as mathematics, sciences and art so on. Moreover, teachers should assist and help students to improve their knowledge. However, if teachers show their social or political point of view to students in those classes, the class will go on other subjects. Finally, students will lose time for studying what they really have to learn in the classes. In this regard, I think teachers shouldn’t show their social or political views to students in class.
On top of that, showing teachers’ own social or political views to students in class will make student stereotype. Teachers are considerably important for students because students spend a lot of time with teachers. Therefore, students are very affected by how teachers teach. However, if teachers show their social or political perspective to student in every class, students definitely become following their teachers’ point of view. Thus, the students will produce stereotype on social or political issue. As a student, they have to consider in matter in all aspects, so they have their own viewpoint of all of issue. Nevertheless, if teachers keep showing their own perspective to students, students have demoralizing influence upon their views of social or political.
In conclusion, I truly believe that teachers should now show their social or political views to students in class. As I mentioned above, not only will it interrupt the class, but also it will make students as a stereotype of person. |
