Opinions are divided over whether students should take courses of 11 minimum months. My view, however, is that students should not be required to take 11 months of classes. This is largely because children should have the opportunity to engage in other outdoor activities for education. Moreover, they should also have a chance to tour other countries.
To begin with, children should take part in outdoor activities such as swimming, golfing, and playing basketball. No one can deny the importance of children’s health. If children’s health improves, they will be able to concentrate more on their studies. An article published in the Korea Times reveals that many students in this society are preoccupied with their studies and works at schools. It has been reported that this leads to the deterioration of the students’ health which is disadvantageous for education. As this study illustrates, many students become weaker as they lack time to exercise and engage in outdoor activities. As a result, schools should offer students more time to go out and exercise. This is benevolent to both the school and the students in terms of education.
In addition, schools should provide students with more time to travel. In today’s globalized world, students need to know well about other countries and cultures in order to succeed in life. However, requiring students to focus on 11 months of education is disadvantaging them. Coercing students to learn about other countries’ languages, cultures, and acknowledge the importance of the globalized world is useless. Instead of requiring them to take classes, they should offer fields trip programs for students to have a broader perspective towards the international society. This is the better means of education contrary to taking courses for education.
To sum up, students should not be proposed to take 11 months of classes for better education. This is due to the fact that their health may deteriorate, and the education may be not effective. Truly, offering students the time to engage in a diversity of activities outside the school will create many successful individuals in today’s society. |
