As the today’s world becomes complicated and hectic, families find it more and more difficult to get together each other. However, I firmly believe that it is essential for them to have a meal together for two reasons. First, it gives a way to bond with each other. Second, they can have a good diet habit by eating home-made food.
To begin with, a family-gathering to dine together enables people to have friendly relationships each other. This is because a cozy atmosphere in the gathering helps talk about their daily lives and share personal problems. To take an example, when I was the first year of college, I was too busy with juggling college studies and a part time gob and my parents always came home at night on weekdays. That was why we rarely spent time together and felt distant from each other. However, the things got changed after our parents decided to dine together on weekends to build intimate ties with each other. We talked about ranging from our interests to personal problems in order to get advice. As a result it made it easier for family members to improve good terms with each other. In this way, dining together reaps a benefit for building family relationship.
On top of that, eating home-made food helps people to have balanced diets. As many people know, many restaurants use cheap food ingredients to make their end meets. Also they use artificial flavors and sweetening to make their food delicious. However, it is harmful for our health and people need to have a healthy diet habit by eating home make food at home. They can choose flesher food ingredients and control the calories by eating at home. For instance, my mother always sticks to prepare for food at home. She always considers food menus best-suitable for our families’ health conditions. Whenever she goes to the grocery market, she carefully chooses food ingredients like low-fat milks and organic vegetables. Thanks to my mother’s way of making food at home, all my family members can stay healthy. In this sense, eating at home makes people healthier.
In conclusion, it is crucial for families to have meal time together in that it helps them make connections with each other as well as keep their fit. Therefore it will be a good alternative to give many benefits for our lives. |
