[Topic] When conducting a project, one by one is better or doing many things at the same time is better. |
Many people have been debating the pros and cons of the idea that performing tasks one by one is better than doing many things in the same time. From my personal point of view, I strongly agree with the opinion that conducting one project by one is better. This is because people can have enough time to think about the project and performing tasks one by one save time considerably. To being with, people may have more time to think about the project when they doing it one by one. These days, there are many people who prefer multitasking performances since it can save considerable amount of time and money. However, if they handling many things at the same time, they more likely to be confused and distracted. Thus, I thing dealing with the job one by one is much beneficial in terms of concentration. To illustrate, take old saying about following two rabbits as an example. Even though foxes are able to catch any rabbit in the world, he could not get two rabbit at the same time. I realized this adage at the every part of my life when I was in high school. Even though I was good at certain scientific subjects, I could not manage myself at the exam season with many of those at the same time. Consequently, the overall score was less than I expected because I could not concentrate each of those. Later, I preferred focusing on one thing at a time which maximized my work efficiency. Thus, there is no wonder that performing one thing by a time is better than doing many things at the same time. Furthermore, performing tasks one by one can save much of time. Some people might assert that handling many things together may save time by completing many of works more effectively. However, if people are required to do a number of things together, they have hard time to concentrate on their jobs, and thus, eventually, it takes much longer. Therefore, conducting project one by one takes shorter time than managing a variety of things simultaneously. According to a survey recently released by the Korean National Research Center, more than two thirds of the surveyed university students who choose to majoring in two different fields responded that they have trouble to manage those two subjects and it results in relatively low grades, at last, they take longer time to graduate their majors. They also mentioned that those students who have single major and do another after finishing it graduate much faster. Therefore, handling multiple-tasks at the same time may deter faster and effective work. In this context, there is no doubt that completing one job at a time is much more efficient way than doing a number of tasks at the same time. In brief, handling one task at a time needs to be considered positively in terms of promoting people’s deliberation and concentration. People can have sufficient time to consider about the projects as well as performing tasks one by one save remarkable time. In general, I wholeheartedly believe that the very first thing we should do now is admitting the importance of finishing each of work one by one as the cornerstone of building concrete skyscrapers in this bleak modern society. |
