If I was given a choice to live in a traditional house or in a modern apartment building, I would definitely choose to live in the modern apartment for several reasons. The reasons include development in social skills and convenience.
First of all, as the modern apartment is designed to fit in many residents as possible, a chance to make friends and interact with neighbours is substantial. Each residence is located next to each other in a row or the opposite of each housing. These kinds of allocation of rooms also affect the chance to run into each other and form a relationship. For instance, each unit holds its meeting every month with neighbours for the problems such as frequent malfunctioning of the elevator, recycling and rubbery and discusses various methods to improve or prevent these problems. Often, they gather up merely for socialisation and catch-up time. This kind of organisation enhance one's social skills, problem solving skills and communication skills when faced with the impediments and having a debate for the solutions.
Moreover, the modern apartment is built with sophisticated interior designs and high technologies such as kitchen appliances and entertainment equipments. For instance, when my family moved to a newly built apartment, we were really excited and satisfied with our new home. The house was perfect with a decent plumbing system, completely sealed windows and roofs, a wide screen TV and a spacious living room. These appliances enhanced our quality of life with security system, convenience of automatic technologies and easy access of entertainment such as Play Station. This experience ultimately demonstrates that the modern apartment is better that a traditional house with non-technological system.
In conclusion, the modern apartment is advantageous in both social and personal ways. In social context, it intensifies one's talents to form an interpersonal relationship with neighbourhood. Also, its inner parts of the building highlight the easy life style.
