Some people prefer to live in a small town; others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. |
With the Industrial Revolution, countries have been divided into two distinguishable parts; metropolises and rural districts. Each of people has different taste and inclination for places where they want to live. However, as a man who has experienced lives in both of places, I prefer to live in small town than big cities. There are two specific reasons to endorse my opinion. Most importantly, there is a strong sense of community in small towns. In addition, living in rural areas offers me preferable environment. To begin with, there is a community spirit in small towns. People are living closely together with lots of interactions. They take care of other neighbors and give help when someone is in trouble. In contrast, there is absolutely no humaneness in big cities. People are so selfish that all they think about is their own profits. For example, I’ve heard of news saying that corpses of elders were found after weeks to months later since they had been dead. Even though, they haven’t seen for a long time, nobody actually was interested in what happened to those elders. It shows how serious the indifference of people living in cities is. Moreover, small towns have much better environment for living. Most of those extremely crowded cities have severe air and water pollution problems due to the excessive number of cars and human activities. In comparison, small towns usually don’t have a lot of pollution sources maintaining water and air clean. Also, when I’m trying to take a rest, countryside offers me the best environment, because there are places with undamaged nature and sereneness. In addition, unlike cities, where I have to live in packed and small apartment, I can own large amount of space where I can play variety of sports and practice family activities. In conclusion, I personally prefer to live in small towns rather than big cities. First of all, people of small towns have senses of community and warm hearts that they take care of their neighbors better than those “New Yorkers.” Second, countryside offers me much more pleasant environment for living, because it has lower pollution levels and numerous space I can enjoy. |
