Some people say that if each person choose their own roommate, the situation will be confused and mass. In my case, I partially agree about the opinion. However, I think that if the students are chosen randomly by the university, some students will complain about the decision because of these problems that he/she's ideas and his/ her roommate one is so different and it is uncomfortable because they are not friendly.
To begin with, it can be possible that I and my roommate have so different thought. In this situation, if they use same room there will be a lot of fighting. For example, in my case, I had stayed for 2 months in Philippine. Then I use a room with only one roommate. Firstly it seems likely that there are no problems in our rooms. However, soon the problems are happened. As i'm so sensitive , it is hard to get asleep easily and I like to go to bed early. Compare with me , he usually go to bed so late and he like watching TV and go around. The TV and door sound is terrible for me when I want to get asleep. He also said I want to a roommate who are like to talk and go out together. Therefore we can't get close although we live in the same room for 2 months.
Nextly, when I enter in the dormitory with my roommate who I have never met before , it should be so unfriendly. Some people say that 'why that is a problem.' However in my case it is certainly problem because I can't easily get close with unfamiliar person. For instance, I had been chosen for 3 years with a student. However we could't get close at last. Of course I try to several times but it is useless trying.
In conclusion, If the roommate is chosen by university, there should be some problems in some room. In my case, I already experienced not only the difference of the ideas but also I underwent the friend who didn't get close. For these reasons, I prefer the latter idea. |
