It is debatable whether or not folks should be allowed to use their cellular phones when they use the public transportation such as buses, trains or airplanes. Some people might say that using a mobile phone in public transportations should be allowed asserting that a person has a right to talk freely. However, in opposition to this view, I totally believe that it should not be available to use a mobile phone when people use the transportation for the following reasions. To begin with, we should observe elementary regulations when employing public facilities such as public transportation. One significant reason behind this is that if we follow basic rules, we can avoid uncomfortable circumstances. To take a personal example, I usually go to college by subway because taking a subway stop me from being stuck in jam in the rush hours. I sometimes find out a person who uses his or her cellular phone making a noisy din in the subway. This noisome sound makes me feel bothersome and weary, and others are also likely to feel uncomfortable. In this respect, we should comply with basic rules in order not to give others damage. Therefore, the use of a mobile phone in the public transportation should be banned. On top of that, taking advantage of a cellular phone in the public transportation is able to cause other problems we could not expect than before. That is, when a person calls someone in the public transportation, he tends to be engrossed in calling, and thus he does not care about other people and the mood in the transportation. This indifference can lead to unexpected concerns. To put it more specific, it is often reported that a person who was calling with his cell phone fell down the platform in the subway station because of his inadvertence over the surroundings. Not only of that, there is a high possibility that a person walking along the path in the subway station comes across other pedestrians because he only focus on his calling. To sum up, I am totally against the opinion that people should be allowed to use their mobile phones when people use the public transportation. Consequently, I wholeheartedly believe that using a cellular phone in the public transportation should be prohibited due to the above reasons based on observation of public regulatons.
