It is generally said that people should read only books about real events, people, and established facts. I disagree that people should read only books about real facts in our reality because we are offered many benefits by reading fiction or hypothesis. First of all, fiction or novel provides us with many advantages. This is mainly because it improves our mental power such as imagination power and logical thinking. Fiction also broadens our views toward the world through indirect experience. Even if some people might say that it is not necessarily true, I have the following example that can support my opinion. From my personal experience, I had developed logical thinking by reading various detective fictions intellectually rewarding. This is one of the reasons that I support that people should read fiction as well. In addition, we can have some insight by reading hypothesis that is not established. This is because we can critically think and correct faults in the hypothesis. Through this process we could achieve many breakthroughs toward the truth that is established. This is another reason that I vote for reading not established facts too. To summarize what I have said until now, I strongly believe that we should read a variety of books ranging from real story to fiction. The reasons behind this are that fiction and hypothesis improve our mental abilities and offer the way to reach the truth. All thins considered, there is no doubt in my mind that no one can deny the importance of the benefits by reading fiction and hypothesis. |
