An ongoing debate exists over which is more important for teachers to relate well with students and to share knowledge.-> which is more important for teachers, to relate well with studetns or to share knowledge. From my perspective, sharing a close bond with students is more critical to teachers for the following two reasons. First, the trouble of students can be hold-> held by teachers. Second, students may neglect their teachers if teachers’ ability is not good.
To begin with, teachers can know all the students’ worry and give them solution by relating with them. It is totally cheerful for students in trouble to be heard by someone, especially their teachers. For example, when I was a high school student, I was in trouble because of friends. Since I didn’t want other friends to know my worry, I couldn’t share it with anyone. However, my homeroom teachers recognized my state and suggested many solutions.-> recognized my state의 표현이 어색합니다. 그리고 알수없는 고민을 recognize했다는 사실은 논리적으로 설명이 더 필요한 부분입니다. It was really helpful. This shows that a close bond with teachers can fill with-> fill the blanks in students’ mind that friends cannot do. -> 친구보다 선생님이라는 결론을 내기에는 성급함이 있는것 같습니다. 또한 주제와는 다소 벗어난 결론일수 있습니다.
On top of that, considering teachers as only knowledge sender is somewhat dangerous perception. Students may look down on their teachers if teachers’ ability of knowledge doesn’t satisfy students’ expectation. For example, when I was a middle school student, some parents come-> came to my school and blame my math teachers of bad teaching skill after hearing about it from their sons. It was really shocking to many other students and teachers. I think this kind of incomprehensible event is caused by emphasizing knowledge too much in relation between students and teachers.
In this sense, relationship with students is more vital for teachers for the reasons I have mentioned above. First, teachers can help solve troubles of students. Second, emphasizing knowledge too much has a negative impact on relationship between school people. |
