Some people argue that higher education, such as university education shoud only be allowed to those studnets who achieve high remarks. They argue that letting all students go to college is waste of money. However, I wholeheartedly believe that university education should be permitted to all studnets who want. This is because even students who are not good at study should have equal opportunity. On top of that, high level of education make a nation develop.
To start with, all students shoul be given educational opportunities as long as they want. If education were given only to excellent students. Other students would be deprived of the possibility of pursuing their dream through education. Furthermore for some students, the interest for study may develop in older age. The illustrate this, the greatest physicist Albert Einstein's grade was very poor in his early age. He even droped out of shool because of failure in some courses. At that time few people anticipated that he would become a scholar. Nevertheless, his will put himself through college and made him one of the greatest scientists in the world. If it were not for the opportunity for him to take higher education due to his bad remarks, we wouldn't have known the theory of relativity.
In addition, higher education make a nation wealthier and it is the shortcut for a developing country to become a developed country. The more people get university education, the more people become aware of the sense of right and become expert in their field. To illustrate this point, socioligist have indicated that, the more developed a country is, the higher the level of education its people are.
In short, the opportunities of education should be given anyone because education have positive impact on both people who want education and countries. On the whole it will make society stronger. |
