Many people believe that good fortune is a more important factor to be successful for people than hard work because a few people in our surrounding could succeed by their luck. However, I strongly believe that working hard is more significant to be successful than luck. The rationale behind this is that good opportunities come only to those who work hard. Also, people who work hard can maintain the success.
To begin with, great opportunities appear to only hard worker. Of course, sometimes fortune helps people to be successful, but it has just tiny influence on them. People who work hard and prepare can create and establish large opportunities, and they can seize the chance to succeed. For example, Jisung Park, the most famous soccer player in Korea, did not good player when he is a college student. However, he endured severe and painstaking practice for several years, and he always did his best in games. One day, Hiddink coach who realized Jisung Park's aptitude chose him as national player. Jisung Park scored in many soccer games since he gained the good opportunity to show his play. Now he is captain of Korean team and play in England with best world's soccer player.
In addition, success can be maintained when people persist in working hard. This is because if one who obtains his or her goals is lazy and strive to progress, his or her success will soon disappear. For instance, students who win scholarships are envied by others. They have struggled with themselves to stay the positions. Otherwise they cannot get the grants and reputation. The students sacrifice many activities such as staying up nearly every night to study, giving up meeting their friends, and spending their holidays on studying in the libraries. This proves that only constant endeavor helps people succeed in their lives.
To sum up, Success come to only those who work hard, not have luck. The reasons are that not only do people who work diligently create and capitalize great opportunities, but they also can keep their success. Only a lot of efforts give us successful lives. We should bear in mind this word.
