Whether or not people are not able to work at the same company for their entire lives can raise many debates. Some people believe that people can work at the same company. Yet, I believe that it is unrealistic for people to work at the same company. I base my opinion on employees' point of view and companies' point of view.
First of all, people like doing something that they don't experience. If an employee worked at one company for a long time, he was getting tired of his work and wanted to have other jobs. People always enjoy seeking exciting experiences. In my company, the colleague who had worked for 15 years really did well in his project and has good relations with other colleagues. However, he sometimes said that working at the same company seems hollow to him and nowadays leaved the company for finding other jobs. If employees wanted to experience different work, companies could not stop quitting their jobs.
In additions, companies should sometimes dismiss their employees in a struggle for existence. In depletion periods, the consumptions diminish dramatically and companies' profits are also declined. In this situation, companies should discharge workers for their survival. For example, when the Korea needed the economic help from the IMF, many companies became bankrupt. For avoiding bankruptcy, even companies which have sound finance fired their employees. If companies would discharge their employees, it was unrealistic to work at the same company for entire lives.
To conclude, I agree that it is unrealistic for people to work at the same company for their entire lives. I represent employees' view that they want to experience other works and companies' view that they are sometimes stuck in dismiss their employees. |
