The lecturer casts doubt on the claim proposed in the reading passage that computer voting system has
many advantages. Unlike the reading passage, he argues that there are several problems. He backs up his opinion with three reasons.
First of all, the speaker claims that electronic vote system is not familiar for all the people. There are many people who are not familiar with the computer like senior citizen and non-educated people. Furthermore, it's possible that they do not attend to vote. This directly contradicts the reading passage's assertion that computer vote system makes people easy to vote.
And also, in the lecturer, the point is made that computer vote system can occur irreversible accident. As many people have experienced, the computer is just a machine: it can be crashed, and it's possible to lost all the vote result. Therefore, using computerized vote system is too risky. This point refutes the author's point that computerized voting system can show much less errors than traditional vote system.
Finally, the lecturer states that characteristic of electronic vote system is not similar to one that bank's.
Bank's electronic system is daily-use system therefore has been improved and more stabilize than electric vote system. Thus, all these points rebuts the optimism put toward in the reading passage that vote system should have sense of time as bank did.
