Drivers have suffered from traffic congestion, wasting their time and gas while being on the highway. In this situation, I totally agree with that imposing extra money to drivers as highway being packed is reasonable. Since this plan will greatly help relieve traffic jams as well as be enviromentally-friendly after all.
First off, forcing drivers to pay fee for driving in rush hours will definitely bring about relieving traffic congestion. Since those cannot afford the money will not bring their cars too often, using other means of transportation, such as a subway, not many automobiles are on the road even when people commuting. Those who do not like to use public transportation will try to carpool with other people living near by them because of the extra fee. Therefore, those taking their cars in the highway do not have to waste their time and gas while being comfortable. Imposing certain amount of money also alleviate the complainment of drivers by lessoning the number of car on the road. Therefore, with their great amount of saving on resources, this policy will be economical in the long run.
In addition, being on the road in rush hours at an expense is a great solution for environmental crisis. In other words, as less number of people start to bring their cars because of the fee, a great part of enviromental concerns will be alliviated. Basically, the problem with people taking cars is that they bring them even when they go places not too far from their houses or offices. An environmental impact of gas emissions from cars cannot be ignored. We admit that those automobiles greatly contribute to the environmental pollution, especially air. Furthermore, since car is driven by its fuel, and this fuel also is a great factor of causing pollution. Therefore, using cars are a start of vicious cycle on environmental harms. In this respect, taxing money on usage of cars when road being packed is a great alternative for solving enviromental issues globally. Consequently, this policy is entirely environmentally-friendly.
To conclude, to impose fee on the road while being fulled will make our lives easier by saving our precious resources and solving environmental pollution from car usage being lessoned. Some might disagree with this because of the money they have to pay. However, after closer consideration, they will figure out that this plan is quite reasonable since the extra payment cannot compete with the skyrocketing gas prices they waste while being stuck in the road. As a result, the economical and environmental advantages of this plan far outweigh the disadvantages. |
