There are two responses over a violence that is without a justice: to be complaisant, or to dominate the violence with another violence. . When they come to the evaluation of which one is more justifiable in one's point of view, it would be the latter one: dominating the violence with another violence. People may disagree with the idea, because violence verses violence would only generate even more violence, and even more tragedies. However, the justifiable violence over the unjustifiable violence would bring the predicament an alleviation and a paragon among all the nations for many reasons. There is an old Chinese quote '以 熱 治 熱,' which means 'predominate the heat by heat.' It applies when someone tries to rejuvenate with a hot food in an unbearable hot weather, while dabbing the stream of the sweat on one's forehead. The other example is that when the weather is really chilly and freezing and if one has to run outside, it may seem foolish to run, but, surprisingly, running in the cold air, which would sure make more wind against oneself, alleviate the coldness around one's body. Likewise, it may also seem foolish to reign over the violence by another violence, it would bring an alleviation or a rejuvenation to the state. One of a reason why policemen, who regulate the laws, bring pistols and batons is to give a notion to everyone that what would happen if one abandons and violates the laws. Surely, there are many group of people who would desecrate the law. However, the next thing that they may meet are policemen, pistols and hard batons. At this moment, the group of people of unjustifiable violation know that they cannot win over a legion of robust policemen, because of policemen's another absolute and justifiable violation. Then, it is plausible that policemen set their violations, such as pistols and truncheons, a paragon to the society. |
