In the lecture, the professor cast doub on the suggestions of the reading pasage that video games cause hazardous effects on the children's life.
First of all, the lectuerer states that addictive behavior observed from video game players is not stimulated by the fact that they play certain type of games but indeed, by many other aspects of our life. Specifically, according to the statistic metioned by the professor, there are many other factors that render people to show obssesive or addictive conduct. On the contrary, the reading passage asserts that it is video game which cause this type of addiction and when children stop playing it suffer several social disabilities and health problems.
Second, the speaker claims that not only a video game render children to act aggressively but also, there are many other diffrent factors such as televisions that encourage youngers to be violent. In fact, he says that video game can be an effective way of releaving anger inside, providing good chance to blow up anger and this fact decreases one's tendency to act incoherently. However, according to the reading pssage, this sort of games motivates children to fight more often at school and in some criminal cases were imitated from video games.
Finally, the professor maintains that video game mounts one's capability of thinking. As a metter of fact, he states that probem-solving skills and a huge amount of intelligence-related abilities which are important for our daily life are improved by playing video games . Nevertheless, this assertion was contradicted by the reading passage directly that video game is not handful for youth's life as it hampers childeren to involve in other activies. |
