Parents might be appreciated to see their children doing homework as they could be more intelligent. They could go through lectures they learned from school by doing homework. However, daily homework does not necessarily means high academic achievement. They could be too overwhelmed from homework and they would not have enough time to spend for themselves. If children have daily homework, they might feel burden from it, leading them to inefficiently study. Homework could be helpful for children as it could be a means to review the knowledge they learned. However, if there is too much of it, homework becomes nothing more than a time-wasting work for children. Rather than trying their best to go through all of their homework, they might just rush to do it. To be more specific, suppose one student has to read 50 pages of book as daily homework. In the first time, he would try as much as possible to thoroughly read the book, and organize the knowledge he gained. Yet, after a few weeks, he would feel frustrated from the amount of work. He has to read 350 pages per week, and if he skips one day due to personal reasons, the amount of work that he has to do start to accumulate. Then, he would briefly read the book, neither concentrating on it nor trying to learn from it. Therefore, as there is high possibility that this sort of situation could happen to most of children, daily homework might not be beneficial. Moreover, children could not use their time on other things when they do daily homework, which hinders them to gain social skills. Even though studying is important, interaction and cooperation with friends might be more important for children. They would not only bond more with their friends, but they would also get social skills. In other words, if they spend less time with their friends, they would lack social skills to fully interact with others. For example, there are some adults who act like children. Their figures are exactly same as ordinary adults. However, they usually spend their time in their home, and they do not have many friends. They are also highly dependant on their parents. According to the survey conducted by Korean times, that is because they did not have many chances to communicate and cooperate with others in their youth. They have no idea on how to make friends or bond with others. Hence, daily homework would not be preferable for children as they might lack time to meet and unite with their friends to have interaction.
In conclusion, daily homework might not be beneficial as children might be too overwhelmed from it and they might not have enough time to devote for themselves. It is apparent that benefits of having cooperation with their friends outweigh the benefits of studying.
