Last month, Korea's newspapers announced that Seoul National University is one of the most well-known universities in the world because it make their students to take the most challenging classes and to study restlessly.Most Koreans are aware of Seoul National University's tough study schedule,and think it helps both nation and individuals. The arguement insisted by the author seems quite supportive because of the national profit and individual asset.
Universities enable its students to be human resources, and it helps Korea to compete with world. University is the faculty which develops students' knowledge. In Korea, highschools teach the same content of subjects to make their studetns to enter top 3 universities.They are accustomed to memorize textbooks and take objective tests. Thus, students who just graduated from highschool are not properly educated to be a pleasure resources in Korea which is lack of natural resources such as oil,and coal. Taking the most difficult and challenging classes would make them to broaden their narrow horizon and academic accomplishments.
In an individual view, university graduates would seek their jobs more easily after taking difficult courses. In this competitive world, an outstanding achievement is needes,and students would never get these uniqure career by taking comparatively easy classes.Many conglomerates indicate that they prefer candidates who took internship course in university because it shows their enthusianism and ability. For examples, 80 percents of graduates from Seoul National University successfully found their occupations due to their challenges in university. As it shows, taking the most difficult courses would help students to be more readily employed.
In a word, taking the most difficult and challenging course might seems useless, however, it improves nations' competitiveness and individuals' career.
