Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A teacher's ability to relate well with students is more important than the ability to give knowledge. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. |
As today's society is progressing towards a more advanced stage, people consider a matter of education to be more important than it once did in the past. Some people say that the most significant factor of well education is a teacher's ability to give knowledge to students. On the other hand, others believe that a teacher's capability to make a close relationship with students is more important than any other factors. From my personal experience, I have to say that I strongly agree with a claim that is stated in a latter one. If a teacher has a close relationship with students, the teacher will be easy not only to make an air of learning motivation among students but also to gain a true reputation among students.
First of all, if a teacher has a sense of ability to get well along with students, the teacher will have a easy time to create an air of learning motivation among students. A sense of motivation plays a very important role in learning; it will never consider to be an exaggeration if a person insists an importance of motivation in learning. When I was a freshman at high school, I lost my sense of motivation in learning. Although my mom pleased her best to make me studying, I did never pay attention to what my mom said. I often blamed a teacher for getting many failures on subjects. Because my teacher never tried to understand my poor backgroud of education, I would never get well along with teacher. I tried my best to explain that I could not attend at grade school because of my home's bankrutpy, but my teacher told me that everything I said was a sort of excuse and did not accpet it as a matter of truth. I, however, improved my grades from F to A after I had a wonderful year with teacher, Mrs.Kim. She, Mrs.Kim was very different from my freshman year's teacher. Instead of ignoring my ideas about poor background of education, Mrs.Kim did open heart to my story and tried her best to understand me. With having a great help from Mrs.Kim, I would be able to grab chances to improve all of my grades from F to A. If I did not have a close relationship with teacher, I would never be able to improve my grades an never understand a sense of pleasure in learning. Thus, if a teacher has a sense of ability to get well along with students, the teacher will have a easy time to create an air of learning motivation among students.
Secondly, if a teacher has a sense of capability to get well along with students, the teacher will gain a true reputation among students. Without a sense of honestly, some students say that they respect their teachers as their mentors. There is a no way for teachers to find out that those comments are made with a sense of honestly or not. Because it is hard for people to find out a sense of honestly by looking at outer surface, those teachers are naive enough to believe every comment from students. If a teacher truly desires to gain reputation with a sense of honestly, the teacher should spend time and efforts to make a close relationship with students. I used to never be a honest student; I was a great imposer. In order to gain more scores on class participation, I told my teacher that I admired every part of her and would want to be a teacher just like her. My teacher was naive and believed everything I said. As a result, I could get perfect scores on class participation and it helped me to bring my overall grade up. If I had a close relationship with that teacher, I would never come up with such comments with no sense of honestly. It would be hard for me to lie to a person who was close to me. Hence, if a teacher has a sense of capability to get well along with students, the teacher will gain a true reputation among students.
In conclusion, a teacher's capability to get well along with students is very beneficial in a sense of not only creating an air of learning motivation among stduents but also gaining a true reputation among students. |
