Some people think television advertising directed toward young children should not be allowed. However I disagree with this opinion with following examples. First, advertising products which is made for kids have to show the children. Second, experience showed in television when they are young can help to create personality more familiar.
First of all, goods for children are affected to customers when children advertise in television. This is mainly because people can know how to use product to their children directly. Suppose that an adult shows an advertisement of the drink for children in television. Would be possible to know that drink is for kids easily? The answer is no. If an adult drinks the merchandise in television, people might think it is for adults when they see the advertisement. For example, there were two advertisement showing the baby’s toy. One was a video that two babies play with the toy, and the other one is an adult explains how to use it. When two toys began to sell, the first product were sold more than the second one even if the second one was reasonable prices. Therefore people tend to buy when they saw an advertisement that have main character is related to the merchandise’s owner. In this regard, I learned goods for children have effects when children appear in advertisement.
Second, children who appeared in television advertisement are more close to people. Since they experienced the work with a lots of adults when they were young, they already knew how to talk and behave in front of adults. Moreover they worked with new face people, they can learn about way to deal with the new face people. Interestingly, according to a survey done by a group of psychology majors in Korea university, 72% of the people who have experience performed in television answered that they changed their personality after they appeared television programs. They answered since they acted in front of many people so their characteristic could be more vigorous and active. Also they could learn to cooperate with other people because they underwent when they were five. I thought of this survey because the results of the report resonated with my thoughts.
To sum up, television advertising directed toward young children is good because goods for kids are affected customers to buy and children can close to people. Consequently, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated for the reasons I have mentioned above. |
