Some people think that using video games for children to a lesson
plan distracts children from learning. However, I believe that it is good for
children aged 5-8 to play video games as part of a lesson plan to increase their
interest in learning for two reasons. This is because using video games during a lesson enables children to get less stress a lesson and strengthens relationships
with friends.
First, using video games in a lesson allows children to get less
stress in a lesson. (in a lesson이란 말이 너무 많이 반복이 되고 있어요. class 아니면 while learning으로 바꿔주세요.) Understanding the daily routine of children and
potential roles of video games is necessary to substantiate this view. Every
morning, they are at the kindergarten, and they have to endure countless picture books.
Such exhausting routine repeats itself and eventually wears down children.
Thus, kindergarten teachers should take a lesson with video games in order to
enhance children’s interest. And as a way to manage the ensuing stress,
children can play exciting video games lesson. Even if it is only for a short time,
this refreshes their minds from boring lessons. In this regard, video games are
an effective method for getting less stress. (what's in the video games? exciting motions? interesting guns? what in the video games makes children interested?)
Second, using
video games in a lesson encourages children to strengthen relationships with friends.
In response to the importance of the interactions among peers, many experts' opinions and research statistics reinforce the idea that children who play video
games with peers during a lesson are better at building relationships. For
example, timid children might not want to participate in a lesson, but they usually actively participate in a lesson with
peers is had less resistance. Essentially, spending time playing video games
with peers during the lesson promotes activities that encourage people to openly
interact with friends. Such intercommunication builds a platform not only to
mingle with friends but also to participate in a lesson, allowing children to
become more socially aware and ultimately strengthen relationships with friends. (again, what factors in the games make this possible? ex. video games require team work in order to win, they need to think of good strategies which involves a lot of talking, etc)
To sum up, I believe that it is important for children aged 5-8 to
play video games as part of a lesson plan to increase their interest in
learning for following reasons: to get less stress and strengthen relationships
with friends. Consequently, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated
for the reasons I have mentioned above. |
