First of all, companies tend to make an exaggerated advertisement because they believe that it is more persuadable. The exaggerated advertisement can show their product's strength more efficiently, and get more attention from their consumers. It seems that people are more likely to buy the products from companies that create the exaggerated advertisement. From my own experience, I chose to buy protein drinks from the company that advertised that their drinks contain three times more protein than the drinks from other companies. I surely understood that it was exaggerated, and it could not be true. However, I still chose to buy that company's product because I felt like this product was better than others, and I wanted to take more protein for my exercising. This my personal example would be comparable to the other people. Companies use the exaggeration when they create their advertisement because they already know it can convince people more efficiently to buy their goods.
Secondly, people do not really notice if the advertisement is exaggerated or not. Nowadays there are so many companies that create the exaggerated advertisement. People already think that most of the advertisement advertisemnet is not all based on the truth. Because of that reason, consumers do not give an effort to figure out which one is exaggerated advertisement. For example, my mom loves to buy products from the online, but she does not try to find out the differences between the advertisement. She believes belives that the best way to find out which product is better is to really use them. Before she really buy and use it, she just believes what the advertisement says. To figure out which one is the exaggerated advertisement is too much work for the consumers who just try to buy the goods. Advertisement is the only way that the consumer get the information about the product. For this reason, even though the companies use the inappropriate way to exaggerate their product's advantages, there is no way that the consumer can figure it out.
Some consumers still believe that what the advertisement says is always true and never be exaggerated. However, the facts that it is the method that the companies can persuade people better, and the consumer does really figure out the exaggerated advertisement make this tendancy tendency popular among the most of the companies.
