▶ Your Answer : Some people think that news media is reliable source of unbiased information. However, in my opinion, news media doesn't always provide accurate information. There are two reasons why I maintain this view.
To begin with, not every journalism allow people balanced perspective. There can be some media which do not focus really important thing, such as human right problem. In my experience for instance, Korea underwent fire of president because of her personal interest pursue and overuse of government power. Some media didn't cover the issue actively even this case is really serious problem. Due to fear of government revenge. So many citizen spent lots of hard time on getting off her from president.
On top of that, some media intentionally cover fake news. Today, news become fast and large amount. Then the responsibility of journalism has been weaken. Conversely, the profit which can be earned by fake news got bigger. For example, there was a poll conducted by Seoul Univ. with netizen who access news by internet as respondents. The purpose of the survey was to understand the consensus view about people's awareness, how much they are encroached by fake news. Surprisingly, the majority of respondents, 73% had responded that the some news which they access is involved in fake news, and this make them don't believe the news. This survey proves that news became unreliable resources by fake news.
To sum up, news is not trustworthy enough, because they don't show people adequate views such as in politics. And there are lots of fake news. In this regard, news media lost its trust that they provide unbiased information.
