In general, juvenile may not manage their money effectively, so some people may say that parents should control their money instead of them. However from my point of view, although managing their money by themselves is not always effective (They might waste their money to buy useless thing!), they can learn important things such as patience, independency, and responsibility. Also, they will realize some valuable lessons by controlling money on their own.
To begin with, children can raise their patience, independency and responsibility on the way to manage their money. In specific, in the view as an adult, children seem to keep money and just spend it to what they wanted. However, on the process managing their money, they think and behave about how they spent it. For example, Mike who is 10years-old, get five dollars pocket-money per a week from his parents. One say, he wanted to buy a Gun-Dan toy which is eight dollars. He would plan to raise his money for at least two weeks and may spend small amount of money for other snakes. On the way to manage his money, he can increase patience not buying other snakes for the toy, also he can develop independency thinking and behaving by himself. Without parents’ help. If Mike fails to save two weeks pocket
money, he should be responsible for himself, so he can hold his fault on his hands not blaming his parents, In a sense, controlling their money on their own is beneficial for them giving much higher patience, independency, and responsibility.
In addition, juvenile can learn some valuable lessons by managing their pocket money. In detail, when people get older, they can have much more money, but actually there are a few people who know how efficiently they can manage their money. Thus, when people are young, they should start to control their money. By doing that, they may have some trials and errors but through that, they would realize some lessons and develop their own tips like how they save money well. As a child with small amount of money, they prevent themselves from wasting a lot of money.(If adults learn how to manage their money, they would waste more money to realize their lessons).
As Rome was not built in a day, habits of using money can not be built in just a day or a month. After juvenile start to control their money, when they become adults, they would have goof habit of using and saving money. In brief, parents need for their children to be administrations so that they raise the patience, independency and responsibility. Also, they learn some great points with a little money through mistakes. |
