After huge economic crisis has attacked the whold world, many companies chose to lay off their experienced worker to cut off costs. However, I strongly believe that it is better for an employer to hire experienced workers even though the salary is higher than inexperienced workers because they can work without tranings and can estabilish good relationships with other workers.
First of all, a company can save money if they have enough experiences in a relevent field. It seems like that a company can save money through engaging inexperienced workers at low salaries. However, when a company hires employees without experiences, it spends huge amount of money to train them. According to one sociological research, the average amount of money which five largest companies in Korea spend on education of one uninitiated worker is more than 100 thousand dallors anually. This is much higher than the average salary of a freshman of those companies. In contrast, proficient workers do not need to take trainings and they can perform a certain task as soon as they get a job because they know how to work. Therefore, through hiring adroit employees, a company can save time as well as money.
It is also considerable that experienced workers can estabilish good relationships with other workers easily. A company is not the place for employees only to earn money for living. This is also the place for their social lives, which means that people should make relationships with other workers. Therefore, experiences at work are not only related with essential skills or knowledge to conduct tasks but also associated with abilties for social relationships at work. This means that experienced people can easily make firm relationships with their colleagues. In contrast, inexperienced workers may have difficulties in making relationships with other people because of lack of social lives. I often see some freshmen who got a job as soon as they graduated from universities failed to maintain good relationships and finally quitted their jobs.
In conclusion, experienced workers can work imediately after entering a company without traning based on their knowledge and skills and also can easily maintain sucessful social lives. Therefore, I firmly believe that hiring experienced workers is more helpful for a company even though their salaries are more higher than inexperienced ones. | |
