Hanbiya, One of my favorite Korean authour, told in her book to prepare the future all the times because we never know when we can grasp a chance. Like her, I strongly believe that success comes from careful planning rather than taking risks because through planning, we can prepare our future, develop as experts and deal with failures well.
First of all, planning means that we prepare for the future. It is true that taking chances is important to be successful because these chances can accelerate our development. However, not everyone can realize the chances are coming. Those who can notice up-coming chances are people who have been preparing for the chances through perfect planning. On the contrary, without preparation, we cannot even notice chances are coming to us. Also, not eveyrone can take a chance even though he or she know about it. People can be eligible to grasp the chance by thorough planning.
In addition, careful planning makes us experts in certain fields. In the modern competitive society, there are many people who do the same things in the same area and it is important to be distinguishing ourselves from other similar people by being specialists. To be experts, people have to spend a plenty of time and money and they need careful plan to manage these time and money well and improve their knowledge and skills.
Finally, through careful planning, people can handle failure and can start their new tasks. People cannot do well all the time even though they make a plan and prepare for the future. However, careful planning not only contains the possibility of success but also the assumption about failure. When people confront the interim failure on the way to the final success, these plans can reduce the impacts while taking risks without planning can damage them critically.
To conclude, I firmly believe that careful planning can lead people to the success because we can prepare the future to catch the chance, can grow as experts and can manage the possible failures. |
