Most countries today are encountering global financial crisis, making hard for people to find decent jobs. They tend to take jobs in company no matter how much large or small it is as the only goal they have is to have stable jobs. However, if they could, they should try their best to have jobs in small company. This is because they could feel sense of accomplishment and have stronger bond with colleagues. By working in small companies, people could feel sense of accomplishment as they could thoroughly show their capabilities. In large companies such as Microsoft, even though people are talented or knowledgeable, they are no different with one another. They all have similar capacity as large companies usually tend to hire the most productive and capable workers. As a result, they are no way for them to use all their knowledge and abilities. In contrast, when it comes to small company, people could relatively have more chances to use most knowledge and capabilities as there are a small number of workers. If they make an utmost effort, there are no reasons why they could not be a prominent worker. In other words, they could actually accomplish some works for companies, leading them to gain both success and happiness. Hence, it is preferable for people to work in small companies as they have more chances to feel sense of accomplishment. Moreover, people could bond with other workers more closely, which could give genuine happiness. Large companies are too bureaucratic and competition-oriented. There is no humanitarian interaction. However, workers in small companies could be closely linked with one another as there are only a few number of workers and there is no extreme competition. For example, according to Economics, employees usually make groups to enjoy other activities other than working. Interestingly, although workers in big companies make many groups, employees in small companies are more actively participate in it. Almost 60 percent of members of small company are likely to take part in groups while only 30 percent of workers in big companies do it. This difference was due to workers perception toward what co-workers are. Workers in big companies considered others as competitors while workers in small companies regard others as friends and true colleagues. Therefore, as people have more chances to have true relationship and thus gain happiness, it is better for them to work in small company.
