** College
attendance
In my college experience some classes are more flexible and not required
attendance, and some
classes are required attendance. One of my college maths
class's teacher said this class not required attendance but it requires quiz, every
class. And it greatly applied to grade. Luckily I never skipped the class, so I could
get the good grade form the math class. But I saw some students who did not
come to class, so missed the quiz so could not get a good grade. They
complained about attendance. I have been always thought attendances are
important, nearly important as purpose of going to college. I want to explain why I
thought that way.
First, college
attendance is process of learning, responsibility of a becoming adult.
I remember when beginning of the class, I read the syllabus and sign the contract
and handed in to a teacher. I think that is kind of making a promise. Because of
that I always go to class besides special occasions. Most of college students are
legally over twenty years old which means they are considered as a adult. I cannot
understand some of my math class mates. I saw the people’s result that did not
come to class; mostly they have to re-take that class again.
Second, if do not
want to come, then choose other way.
I know some people cannot come to a class or they are not preferred to come. In
that way they can choose different way to take a class. I saw the few of online
class schools. In Utah where I live, here are several online schools. I believe that
school can take any occasion even other countries if they have a computer.
And also even my schools have few online classes. So people do not want to
come to class, and then choose alternative way.
To sum up, I supported college attendance is important. We are go to college to
learn, to get better education. But if you do not come how can you learn? , unless
you
already know. Like I before I said,
if do not want to show up the class, then choose different way . We are adult, that
means nobody take care of our self, we are the one choose right thing to do.
