Conventional wisdom holds that everyone has an equal right under the Constitution. Under such circumstance, some people think that professors or teachers are able to talk their political or religious standpoint while they teach their students. From my perspective, however, the primary job of instructors is that they must teach without bias thought. Therefore, their lectures must not include one's opinion especially religious and political issue.
In modern society, although many mysterious theories or suggestions have been proved owing to highly advanced technology, it is continuously debatable topic: Creation or Evolution Theory. Through American history, because of this confliction, many professors have lost their job and many school have been sued by teachers who do not believe Creation Theory or vice versa. Of course maintaining own's conviction is respectable, but instructors who have to position in the middle of a debate do not have a right to teach students with prejudiced view. For example, when I was secondary school student, I could not frequently stand my science teacher's lecture. Given that when teaching, he always said Creation Theory is incorrect, and what is more, he believe that people believe Creation Theory should abandon their belief. Even though I could not say anything in front of him I felt very uncomfortable because of my religion: Catholic. Therefore, teachers who have strong conviction either Creation or Evolution Theory should respect their students' belief.
Many people have different political conviction needless say, so through history, countless people have been killed by political disagreement. Teachers stand a position that is the important to students. As a result, it is reasonable that they have to show their unbiased viewpoint to students. For example, in my country South Korea, because of strong political confliction between two parties, many people have lost political credibility, but people specially instructors standing in the center of the class must put his or her political point of view in the middle of class because adolescents are the most sensitive period in entire life. In this respect, personal political thought should not be included in class.
To sum up, it is American saying that "Do not talk about politic or religion with others." I certainly agree with this maxim seeing that it is the most sensitive issue among people. As a consequence, teaching professors or teachers' though in class should be eliminated because students deserve to maintain their belief without any personal distraction.
