In these days, it is often said that having a job during the teenage is good for teenagers. Some people may be opposed to this statement because they believe that students only should pay attention to their schoolwork. However, I strongly support the idea that teenagers learn many things on working part-time jobs. This is because part-time jobs can improve teenager’s sense of responsibility and teach the value of money.
First of all, student jobs improve teenager's sense of responsibility. This is because working students are required to assume essential responsibilities such as arriving at work on time, managing their daily time. To be specific, recently studies show that student who work fewer than 15 hours a week actually academically outperform their peers who do not work. Because they know how to handle multiple task, and can manage their time wisely.
On top of that, it is obvious that real work experience allows teenage students to naturally learn how precious money is. From my personal experience, I worked at fast food restaurant when I was seventeen in order to make money to buy a computer. In that time, I really needed computer for my term paper and communicate with others. But I had a little money because I was student. So I decided to work and I could save money enough to buy a computer. It takes a long time. What I learn from the working is value of money. So I become much careful spending my parents’ hard-earned money.
As you can see, I strongly agree with the idea of that it is good for students to work part-time job. Not only can students improve their responsibility, but also learn the value of money. Students who have working experience are more responsible than others. So they have a good chance to achieve their field. |
