Some people think that the saying "Never give up" means not to abandon the hope and the goals. On the other hands, the others believe that the "Give up" stands for the stop of actions to acheive the goals and the dream. I strongly agree with the latter because of some reasons. With specific examples, I can mention why I think so.
To begin with, if people earnestly want to achieve their goals, they have to continue trials and invest their efforts. There is the saying, "No pain, no gain". This means that success is based on the arduous trials. It is evitable that people should make enormous trials to obtain successful consequences. For example, Edison who is one of the famous inventors, had invested his efforts and time to device the light. According to the record related to him, he made lots of fails to introduce historical inventions. If he gave up his effort without keeping trying, he could not make the light so that it is impossible for us to see something in the dark. Thus, I think that stopping trials means giving up the goals.
Of course, when someone does not complete his goals, it does not mean that he give up his goal. If he want to be rich despite current poor situation, he could have the goal that he would make much money. However, if he does not continue to work to meet his goal, it is the same as the he gives up the dream. It is possible for everyone to have a dream, but realization of it is depending on how hard he work or strive for it. Without any trials, the dream can be given up or disappear spontaneously. Therefore, I believe that "Never give up" takes place "never stop working for the goal.
To sum up, when it comes to continual trying and working as efforts to meet the goal, I totally agree with the topic sentence. It can provide more possibilities and opportunities to achieve the goals and keeping trials means not to give up. |
