These days, people have lack of time to rest and enjoy entertainment due to overload work and busy surrounding. When they have free time, it is important to use it efficiently because it is a rare chance. Planning forehand can be helpful but people can feel stress from organising and planning their free time. Spontaneous action can be more advantageous according to the mood at that time and the quality of fun.
First of all, people often schedule their weekend with activities that they are interested such as playing sports, partying and attending concerts. However, it is certain that people often do not want to follow their schedules on the day. For instance, I always have parties on weekends with various people and sometimes it becomes tiring to the point that I wish to cancel the party. However, since I promised to attend, I am left with no choice but go and waste my valuable free time in unwanted location. This shows that planning limits one's choice of spending the free time the way one truly wants.
Moreover, deciding what to do on the spot increases adventurous and exciting mood. People are exposed to more chances of surprising and unanticipated events. According to psychological assessment, people feel more uplifted and bright when they face mystery and adventure. On contrary, when they spend the free time exactly the way they planned, they generally feel bored and unenthusiastic. This is because if one knows the next upcoming event, they lose passion and motivation to finish the activities. Hence, they prefer events full of surprises and unexpected occasion.
In conclusion, the advantages of spending the free time without a plan far outweigh the time filled with schedules. People should do whatever they feel like on the day which will be full of thrill and surprise.
