In the lecture, professor made several points about whether there are some foods with super power. The professor argues that it is an exaggerated view. However, the reading contends that there are super power foods such as blue berry, tomato, brocoli and garlic. The professor's lecture casts doubt on the reading by using a number of points that are contrary to reading.
The first point that the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is blueberry. Reading passage says that it greatly helps our brain and prevent Alzheimer's disease. However, according to the professor, the experiment was only done with rats and wasn't done with humas species and so, it is not a hundred percent sure if it will also work on human. The point made by the professor casts doubts on the reading because it isn't sure if it will work or not.
The second point the professor uses is toamto, brocoli, and garlic. It is written on the passage that tomato, brocoli, and garlic help lowering cholesterol and possibility of cancer. But, the professor says that they aren't the trued and are opinions which can mislead. Professor's point casts doubt on the passage because they are only opinions, not exact truths.
In conclusion, the cases of blue berry and tomato, brocoli, and garlic demonstrates that the idea of existance of super power food may be in doubt.
