wrote his advice on the notes for Jamal. Finally, Jamal knew that the old guy was his
favorite writer. After,(Later) Forrester taught Jamal how to typewrite for Jamal’s writing.
Jamal could know learn more about how to write and how to use the typewriter. However, Jamal
wondered why Forrester stopped his own writing. The old guy told Jamal that
Forrester had a guilt about his older brother after the older brother passed away.
Second, Jamal and Forrester had their own secrets. Jamal had gifted ability in
writing, but Jamal did not want to show his intelligence in his high school class.
Jamal did not want anyone to come someone into his room even though his mother too. Also,
Forrester thought that no one allowed to enter in his room. However, Forrester allowed
Jamal’s visit, and the old guy gave Jamal his house key. Also, Forrester did not
want to go out after his old brother’s death. Forrester had guilt(felt guilty) about his old brother's death
because he wrote about his old brother’s life without his old brother’s permission.
Lastly, Jamal and Forrester changed their each personality. Jamal just wanted to
play basketball game, but he had his dream after he met Forrester. Jamal found his
identity from Forrester’s advice. Jamal felt that Forrester like his father. (Jamal이 Forrester를 아빠
처럼 느끼게 되었다)(>Jamel felt a father's love from Forrester..) Forrester did not go out , but he went
Yankee Stadium with Jamal. And, Forrester trusted Jamal like his grandson. Forrester opened his mind and
Jamal also did it.
