Alongside the development of science technology and streamlining the economy, countries usually consider education as top priority when making policies. This is no surprise as educating students could be directly connected to the future of country, which is the reason why many presidents including Barack Obama pledge their citizens to boost the efficiency of education. Likewise, to offer well-rounded education, countries should encourage students to take part in jobs because they would be able to gain valuable work experiences and find their aptitude.
If students have chances to have jobs, they would naturally gain practical work experiences. In other words, by participating in works starting from working as a part time worker to an intern, they would obtain skills, instructions and knowledge in terms of their future jobs, leading them to be more successful. For example, according to the study conducted by Economics, a number of companies, roughly 20 percent of them, prefer to hire workers who already have hands-on experiences in their fields, especially amid the unprecedented financial crisis. This was a result of their goals to reduce the expenditure of training new workers, raise the productivity in the workplace, and in recent term, to get out of the global financial crisis as fast as possible. Hence, when students start to work from the early age, they would have more chances to correspond the trend by being well informed of jobs. Therefore, it is necessary for them to work for their success.
Moreover, students could find their talents as well. It is commonly known that it is utmost important for students to find careers they want to do. To do this, only getting information through text books is not enough. In fact, it would be more informative and practical for students to really participate in jobs and find the best ones which fit into their aptitude. To be more specific, Warren Buffet, one of the wealthiest people in the world, has started to work since nine years world. He did jobs ranging from selling the Coca-Cola Bottles to working as a delivery man of newspaper. However, out of many works, he mentioned that working with his father in finance company was true enjoyment to him. As a matter fact, that was his aptitude. Indeed, working has allowed him to be more successful in his fields by offering chances to realize his own talent. Thus, students should try their best to have works to find their aptitude.
In conclusion, students should participate in works as they could gain qualitative work experiences and have chances to find their talent. For success, only listening to lectures in school is not enough. They should go outside in the real world and express their capability and passion. |
